The Academy of Country Music Awards, which held its 49th annual show this past April 6th, has already sold out its tickets to next year's events -- ACM Party For a Cause, a two-day event, and the ACM Awards, scheduled for April 17-18 and April 19, respectively. The event's 70,000 available tickets were gone in 18 minutes, according to event organizers. The awards show, to be broadcast on CBS, will be held at the AT&T Stadium, while the ACM Party for a Cause event will be held at Globe Life Park. Both venues are located in Arlington, Texas.
In a statement, Academy of Country Music CEO Bob Romeo thanked fans and expressed grateful surprise at fans' reaction. "This sale was unprecedented and far exceeded our expectations. We’re working hard to plan more events to accommodate as many fans as we can. Country music is alive and well in North Texas!”
The ACM Awards show will again be co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton.
Organizers say more tickets may become available as production continues on the two events.
