The band's greatest hits compilation, "May Death Never Stop You," arrives March 25

My Chemical Romance disbanded nearly a year ago, announcing last March that it was simply "time for it to end" after 12 years and four albums together.

To commemorate the release of its greatest hits compilation "May Death Never Stop You," the band dropped "Fake Your Death," the final song it recorded together, as a premiere on BBC Radio 1 and on its YouTube pageAlternative Press reports.

"Fake Your Death," considered a "eulogy for the band" by frontman Gerard Way, begins as a piano ballad before a stomping drum beat sets in. "Just look at all that pain," Way eventually repeats over a screeching guitar solo.

On the band's YouTube page, the song accompanies a trailer for the compilation, featuring footage of the band's multiple music videos, stretching from the band's breakthrough hit "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" to material from its final album, 2010's "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys."

"May Death Never Stop You" is due March 25 and features 18 songs from the alt-rockers' catalog, including the newly released "Fake Your Death" and three demos.
