Danielle Smith, a former executive at Warner Music Group, was arraigned on a charge of first-degree grand larceny after Smith allegedly embezzled $1.3 million from her former employer. The news was first reported by the New York Post.
Smith allegedly used a Warner credit card to live lavishly between 2007 and 2011, racking up the previously mentioned total while arranging travel and board for Warner artists. She was also reportedly a successful fundraiser for Barack Obama's re-election campaign.
Smith plead not guilty to the charges, brought after her former employer notified a Manhattan District Attorney's Office of their suspicions.
