Ok guys, here is everything you need to know about the A&R contest being run here at openmicchat.com.
First the rules:
1) You MUST be a member of this site (in good standing) to enter the contest.
2) You do not have to live in the USA to enter...it's worldwide!
3) If you are a producer/songwriter, you are allowed to have someone else sing your song.
4) Finally, there is NO PURCHASE REQUIRED. The site is free, the calls are free, and the Mattrix Minute can be found on any number of streaming services.
How to win:
The contest start date will be announced on the call (not on the website), so listen in to find out the official start date of the contest! The contest will be broken up into two phases. Once the contest is officially announced on the Open Mic Chat conference call, the first phase of the contest will begin. Mattrix will choose a daily "word of the day" or "phrase of the day" that you will only hear or know by listening to the Mattrix Minute. When this phase of the contest ends, you must know each word or phrase of the day to move on to the second phase of the contest. If you successfully complete the first phase, you will enter the voting round. You will only be allowed to vote ONE time per IP address, so it is absolutely necessary for you to bring others to the site to vote. Only registered members will be allowed to vote in the contest, and once again the site is FREE, so bring as many people into the site as you can! After the voting round is complete, a winner will be notified through private message and/or phone call!
What you win:
Round trip airfare to Nashville, TN and accommodations for the duration of your trip.
A songwriting session with a producer/songwriter of the Mattrix's choice.
A fully produced, mixed, and mastered single that you will have complete ownership of once the process is completed.
A photo-shoot.
Album artwork for your new single.
Meet and greet with some movers and shakers in the music industry.
